With a Personal Shell Account you have FULL access to OMNIport from your home computer via modem dial-up. Unlimited access sets you free to explore all the internet has to offer using tools like TELNET, FTP, GOPHER, EMAIL, compilers, etc. 1 MB of personal disk space is available for you to use, even for your own PERSONAL Home Page (see Personal Beach below). Personal FTP setup available at no additional cost upon request.
If you wish to use one of the popular web browser packages (like NCSA's Mosaic), Personal Surf Account is for you (and is necessary). Personal Surf gets your home computer "connected" to the WEB. The account provides all of the common WWW functionality, along with a personal EMAIL account. Like the Personal Shell Account, this is an unlimited access account. You can also have your own PERSONAL Home Page (see Personal Beach).
Eliminate the need to send your email to many different locations by hand. Make sure everyone has a current address as you move from place to place, or just change jobs or email providers. With a Message-in-a-Bottle(sm) Account you let US worry about getting your email to YOU ... wherever you are. Just give your associates ONE address and ALL email sent to your PERMANENT email home will be sent to you as directed.
For example, lets say you have an email account with an ISP (such as OMNIport), and you receive email as YOU @ Caribe-Enterprises.com. Let us also say you run Your Own Company and receive email there as Owner @ YourOwnCompany.com, but want to be able to check ALL your email from home or work and not have to check BOTH ... the Message-in-a-Bottle(sm) Account lets you tell all your associates to send email to ONE email account (YOU @ OMNIport.net) and receive ALL your messages at BOTH accounts! Present information you would like others to see ... like your resume, your personal favorite WEB pages, notes of special interest, etc. You can let your creative juices flow, and share a little bit of YOU with the rest of the WORLD. Others can reach YOUR PERSONAL home page with a WWW browser via http://www.OMNIport.net/YOU/. We take care of the "server" details, you provide the content.
Extra POP accounts give you the ability to have additional PASSWORD PROTECTED EMAIL logins. POP Accounts are perfect for the family (or anyone) wanting to have password protected e-mail for everyone.

Private Surf connects your business or home computer to the internet through modem communication over standard telephone lines at 33.6 kbps. Along with the SLIP/PPP connection, you receive an IP number, and a domain name. You are connected to the OMNIport backbone and the internet. Private Surf features: One DEDICATED telephone line connection at the nearest OMNIport location, Domain Name Registration, NO on-line charges, On-call Emergency Support, SMTP Mail, Shell Account.
Dedicated Gateway SLIP/PPP connects your LAN or WAN to the OMNIport backbone and thus to the internet. In addition to ALL of the features of the Dedicated SLIP/PPP Account, you are assigned your own Class C IP Address to allow the machines on your network to have an IP address on the internet.
A Local Ethernet Account is an excellent way to get your WEB site, file server, or information server on the internet. We connect your PC, workstation, or Mac on our ethernet and T1 connection for the FASTEST possible connection. By far, this is the EASIEST and LEAST EXPENSIVE way to get your business T1 access.
Dial-up ISDN provides higher speed connection for dial-up access. With ISDN, data transmission time and throughput are dramatically increased. Both 64K and 128K ISDN connections are available.
