X-URL: http://www.OMNIport.net/ To: OMNIport Customer Subject: Regional Provider's Routing Problem Hello, A few minutes ago we received the following message from our regional provider: |From: Network Operations |Subject: Issues and Downtime | |The intermittent network outages plaguing our system today will |continue until tomorrow morning, when we anticipate a short 15 |minute maintenance window during which the issue should be |completely repaired. | |We apologize for the short notice of this announcement and the |time of day it will occur, however the maintenance window is |extremely urgent to repair problems with mission critical components. | |The scheduled time for the maintenance windows is 12:00 P.M. (Noon). | |Sincerely, |Network Operations Currently we are experiencing a rather cyclical pattern of ups and downs. At present, the connection is up for 8 or 16 minutes, then it drops out for one minute. Even though this is not optimal, it does allow for most services to be transfered over the conenction. Due to the robust design of the internet protocol, these sorts of interuptions have the effect of virtually removing the outtages, producing an overall slowness instead. As you can see from the message we received, internet connectivity at large will be sluggish until a little past noon. Thank you for your patience.
