X-URL: http://www.OMNIport.net/ To: OMNIport Customer Subject: Dialup Changes Hello, We are proud to announce an exciting change in dialup access, which effects your OMNIport dialup access account. Over the past 6 weeks, we have been working to secure an increased dialup area for our customers. At this time, we must move forward and convert all dialup customers to use the new system. The change is minimal from your point of view, but the benefits are big. The change is being implemented in two phases. Phase one requires all OMNIport customers to change the "username" and "phone number" for dialup access. This change enables a vastly larger access area, with phone numbers in over 30 states. This first phase takes place IMMEDIATELY. We must stress that this change is IMMEDIATE. The current dialup access lines may not be active after Monday, December 23, 2002. We are sorry that we could not have given more notice. However, we will be contacting all OMNIport customers that have not already made the switch. The second phase will happen in January and will make your dialup account work virtually nationwide. This second phase will use the new V.92 technology in ALL ports ... allowing such features as placing your internet connection on hold while you answer the phone. The only change required will be a change in the phone number that you call. We will notify you of the second phase when it is ready. In order to start using the new dialup system, simply add "@omniport.net" to the username of your dialer and change the phone number(s) to those listed below. Thus, if your username is: "johndoe" ... you would use "johndoe@omniport.net" with the new dialup system. YOUR PASSWORD will REMAIN THE SAME. Of course, you will also need to change the phone number you use to dial into the system.
